Your muscles have been waiting patiently

Hi,
A little reminder from Massage with Wiktor: massage is often most effective as part of a regular routine, rather than something you book only when pain or tension has already built up.
Regular massage can support musculoskeletal health by reducing perceived muscle tension and soreness, improving short-term joint and soft-tissue mobility, and promoting relaxation. It may also help manage common muscular discomfort associated with prolonged sitting, repetitive movements, exercise, and general physical load. From a recovery perspective, massage can help you become more aware of areas of stiffness or restricted movement before they start affecting the way you move or train.
There is also an important difference between treating a problem once and working progressively over time. With regular sessions, I can better understand how your body responds to work, training, stress, and everyday habits, and adjust each treatment accordingly. Rather than simply chasing the area that hurts that day, we can look at patterns of muscular tension, movement, and load and work more proactively.
And, of course, the nervous system matters. A good massage provides a period of physical and mental down-regulation, which can be particularly valuable when life, work and training leave you constantly switched on. Giving your body regular opportunities to relax and recover is part of looking after yourself, not simply a luxury.
So, if it's been a while since your last session, take this as a gentle reminder. No judgement - life gets busy, calendars get forgotten, and sometimes we only realise how much tension we've been carrying when we finally stop for an hour.
If your body has been asking for a little attention lately, it may be time to listen.
